Today, the company is still very much a family run business with Ken's daughter, Judy Knapp, overseeing the daily operations as they continue carrying on the spirit of Ken Knapp and his dream to make Pikled Garlik a snack and condiment no household can live without

The company was born out of Ken Knapp's love for his sister's home recipe. Originally, Ken began jarring his sister's pickled garlic as gifts for friends and family. The response was overwhelming. So Ken took his "pikled garlik" on the road and it did not take long for the country to agree with the man who crowned himself the "Garlik King".


VARIETIES: You can eat it raw, take it in pill form or cook it with your food. But for those individuals whose palates desire something more than plain old garlic, or want more of a taste sensation than is provided by simply downing a garlic supplement, with six different flavors to choose from The Pikled Garlik Company has the answer. Notes from Judy Knapp:
Before Dad started the Pikled Garlik Company I hardly ate garlic. In fact, I don't recall having very much garlic in our family's meals. However, for the past several years, I can honestly say I continue to maintain the presence of garlic in my bloodstream. I truly believe my good health, thank God, has been good primarily because of the inclusion of garlic in my diet.

I don't claim to be an expert on the benefits of garlic but over the years we've been in business I've read articles and spoken with many a person who attributes their lower cholesterol/blood pressure, fewer colds & allergy problems, the list goes on and on, to the consistent eating of garlic.

PERSONAL STORY TO SHARE
I'll never forget the time Dad & I took a trip back East (around 1988). We were leaving Atlanta GA for home (CA). Before boarding, Dad had to double back on our tracks because he had left something behind in the lounge. It was in the middle of summer so heat and humidity were at a high. Being used to cooler weather, the temperatures slapped us down pretty good. Well, by the time Dad got on the plane he looked like he'd just had a three-hour workout at the gym! We always carried little jars of our product for promotional and gifts. I think we only had 1 or 2 jars left. A passenger coming on board behind us was holding a half-eaten ice cream bar. Poor Pop (still trying to cool off), yelled, "Hey, I'll trade you that ice cream bar for a jar of Pikled Garlik!" Quickly, the man answered "It's a deal!" Everyone around us started chuckling and probably wondered what the heck is pickled garlic? What started out as a barter opportunity soon turned into quite a promotional moment for our "garlik". Half the flight home, everyone near our seat was talking about garlic. A memory I'll always remember.

Customer Comment: Having a ball with a sample of the flavors. Since I am a hot freak, the habanero will probably rate the highest with me. I had been saving it for an occasion and finally got into that bottle today on some really simple fare. Great heat and of course the wonder of crunchy garlic. Keep up the great work. The Red Chili Pepper was truly great on an oyster po' boy.
